I am a writer, a dyke, a webgeek, a feminist, an English Comp instructor and writing consultant, and a witch. I am not a Wiccan. I want to save the world. My eyes are hazel.

Friending:
If you want to friend me do so. I may or may not friend you back. If you're friending me to follow fanfiction, that's fine (and wonderful. yay!), but I don't friend back socks or journals that only post quizzes because life is short and busy. However, I try to keep everything fan related unflocked.

If you want to friend me and ask, I'll probably skim over your profile and journal and perhaps friend you back if our interests align.

If I have you friended, and I don't read you, or if you consistently post things that offend me, you'll probably be gone rather than me protesting and causing drama. I don't think I've to date ever changed someone's mind on livejournal by arguing with them, especially people I barely know.

If you deliberately insult me, whether you think I'll see it or not, take a guess: You will be defriended. I'm amazed that people don't seem to realize that I don't deserve to be insulted by people I consider to be my friends.

In addition, just so you know, I use filters on personal posts.

I have this theory about fanfiction. It’s the beautiful, sometimes scary, sometimes a bit ugly, multiple text being contributed to by interested parties the world over. Fan texts are largely uncensored. They provide rogue readings of canon texts, which turns visual media such as television and film from messages being vapidly consumed by an unaware sponge into a dialogue between the audience and text and between the fan writers and artists and their fellow fans. It’s an amazing amazing thing.
